Juniors Christmas Campaign

Christmas is a time of joy and merriment. It’s when we get to spend quality time with our loved ones, exchanging gifts and enjoying festive food and drink.

However, for some of us Christmas can be an incredibly difficult time. The stress and expectations of the holiday season put enormous pressure on struggling families, and many find themselves in financial difficult in an effort to make Christmas special for their children.

That’s why in 2022 Juniors launched its Christmas Campaign. The charity provided 300 tickets for local children living in poverty, giving them the chance to attend the Hamilton Town House Pantomime.

Juniors also helped dress 175 children between the ages of 0 and 15 in winter gear, to ensure they were properly equipped to deal with the colder months. These children were also provided with toys to guarantee they received a Christmas present.

In addition, Juniors provided Christmas Dinner for 338 people in the local community.

The Christmas Campaign was realised through a LinkedIn video appeal, which issued a call out for donations and contributions. In just three days, the video attracted 44,000 views, and gifts provided through the Christmas Campaign were purchased using donations generated through the appeal.

Despite Juniors work to support the community at Christmas and throughout the rest of the year, the Scottish Government still decided to pull the charity’s funding. That’s why we need to you to help us save Juniors!
