Lanarkshire’s Centre for Early Childhood Support

Practical help, offered with dignity

The Community Larder
Our Community Larder gives families a dignified, choice-based way to access food and household essentials. There’s no stigma and no hoops — members choose what they need. For many families it’s the first point of contact with Juniors, and the thing that keeps them connected to everything else we offer.

Food insecurity and child development are not separate problems. A child can’t learn, play or settle when the household is in crisis. The Larder is how we steady the family so the early years work can land.

Baby & Family Essentials
Clothing, baby equipment, nappies and the practical items families need but can’t always afford — provided without means-testing and without judgement.

Family Support Work
Our family support workers walk alongside families facing hardship — helping with referrals, benefits and income maximisation, housing, and connection to wider services through our referral directory.

Partnerships
We work with NHS Lanarkshire, the University of the West of Scotland to make sure families don’t fall through gaps between services.

School Workshops

Our School Sales and Enterprise Course gives young people real-world business experience by taking them from idea to income. Pupils design, market and sell a live product—often our Juniors cookies—learning sales, branding, teamwork and confidence along the way. Through hands-on challenges, social media campaigns and live selling opportunities, they build practical skills that go far beyond the classroom. Every sale also creates real social impact, with 100% of profits helping children and families in need—turning enterprise into purpose.

Holiday Home

Our holiday home at Craig Tara Holiday Park gives children and families the chance to experience something many take for granted—a real break away. For families facing hardship, holidays are often out of reach, but this space offers time to relax, laugh and create lasting memories together. Whether it’s days at the beach, exploring new places or simply enjoying time as a family, our aim is simple: every child deserves the joy, freedom and happiness that comes with a holiday.

Community events

Through our partnership with Hamilton Town Centre, Juniors plays a key role in bringing seasonal events to life across the community—from Easter celebrations to summer activities, Halloween and Christmas. These events create moments of joy for local families while ensuring no child feels left out during special times of the year. In recognition of this impact, our founder Lesley Robertson was proudly named Hamilton Hero 2025, celebrating her dedication to supporting families and building a stronger, more connected community.
